Sand Art LED Table Lamp

A moving sand art piece is a captivating blend of visuals and interactivity. Crafted using a medley of colored sand, air, and a water solution encased between two glass panels, these artworks showcase stunning landscapes. When inverted, the sand cascades while air bubbles ascend, creating a mesmerizing effect.

These bubbles form a barrier, preventing the sand from simply settling at the base. Gravity then guides the sand, allowing it to sift delicately through the spaces between the bubbles, resulting in intricate sandscapes with each rotation.

The unique arrangement of these elements ensures that every turn produces a distinct and captivating sandscape.

It's common for sand to become compacted during transportation or when the sand art hasn't been turned for an extended period. To address this, you'll need to release the compacted sand by removing any trapped air in the sand art (never use water for this). Rotate your sand art several times, around 4 to 5 times, until the sand starts flowing freely again.

Initially, you might need to gently tap the glass to help loosen the sand. Once the sand moves freely, follow the air template guide to add air appropriate for the size of your sand art. After a few minutes, it should be ready to use again.

For free-standing or bubble (round) sand art: Hold the sand art by both sides and flip it straight towards you. This action causes the bubbles to rise evenly, creating a barrier that slows the sand from falling too quickly.

For wall-mounted sand art: Simply turn it as you would turn a wheel.

Generally, the sand colors do not mix. However, in certain situations, such as when the sand falls too quickly or during transportation, the colors may temporarily blend. Rest assured, though, when the sand art is flipped over and the sand falls correctly, the colors will separate again.

The time it takes for the sand to complete its descent varies widely, ranging from 5 minutes to several hours. Factors such as the size of the moving sand art greatly influence this duration, with larger pieces requiring more time to cycle through.

Additionally, the amount of air inside the art affects the speed of the sand's descent; more air slows the flow, prolonging the process. Furthermore, the unique combination of elements in each piece contributes to the duration, making each turn a distinct experience.

Allowing the sand art to rest between turns for a few minutes enables the sand to settle at the bottom, further slowing the flow. This variability is normal, ensuring that each turn offers a different outcome.

The likely cause is an excess of air within your moving sand art. Consult your care instructions to adjust the air level accordingly.

Occasional rapid descent is normal; not every turn will result in towering peaks. Factors such as how the sand settled in previous turns influence the outcome.

For instance, if the sand previously settled evenly, it's more likely to form mountains. Conversely, if it settled unevenly, rapid descent may occur until it evens out. Slower falling sand typically creates mountains, while faster descent forms dunes.

If rapid descent persists, leading primarily to dune formation, it's possible there's insufficient air in your moving sand art. Consult your air guide template to assess and adjust the air level as needed.

Regulating the air is necessary because it's natural for air to either escape or enter through microscopic gaps in the silicon sealant. The frequency of this occurrence depends on environmental factors and how often you turn your sand art.

When you purchase a moving sand art from Amazing Sands, you'll receive a care kit comprising a syringe with a blunt needle (27G), an air guide template, and detailed care instructions.

Follow these instructions meticulously to ensure proper maintenance of your moving sand art and to avoid glass breakage.
